September 2023 – Muller Hunting & Safari

Together with my husband Mario we paid the trade fair show “Jagd & Hund” a visit in 2022 – bearing in mind our wedding anniversary for which we were intending to go on a hunting trip abroad for the first time in our lives! Anja´s booth caught our attention and we had a very interesting chat and exchanged ideas for a hunting trip to South Africa in Season 2023. Never in our lives we had won anything in Lotteries before but while sitting & chatting Anja enchoraged us to fill in our details to just give it a try.

Anja sent us her quotation for a hunting trip only two weeks later and we seriously considered a trip to her hunting resort in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. While we were still thinking about everything another email from Anja arrived – we had one the second price in the lottery: A 7 days-hunting trip for plains game at her 5-star Wildgame Reserve NGIRI for 1 hunter !

Decision was made, we both went for 7 days of hunting plains game at NGIRI in September 2023 and a hunting dream came true !!

Our stay at NGIRI Private Game reserve was a blast – we enjoyed every minute of it. Hunting only by doing Walking & Stalking under the experienced guidance of Anja & Philip together with their team of skinners and trackers was absolutely professional. The food was lovely – a good mix of national and international cuisine – with fresh ingredients, spices and a great presentation! It speakes for itself if you have a look at the trophy pictures that we took.

We have already made plans for returning soon – but next time we will bring our two sons with, that are both also dedicated hunters!

We have our German hunting area close to where Anja and her husband Bernd have theirs and had heared a lot about their privately owned hunting grounds in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. We had always wanted to try out hunting in South Africa – after having travelled to Namibia some years ago with the hole family.

Lya had just passed her hunting licence exams in Germany so this was the perfect opportunity for a father and daughter trip before she goes her own ways or prefers to travel with her boyfried in the future 🙂

We came to Muller Huntings Wildgame Reserve NGIRI for only 5 days of hunting and wouldnt want to miss one second of it! We loved the hole set up of the Lodge and the guest chalets, the privacy and individual treatment we discovered during our stay, the wellcoming and warm atmosphere that Anja & her team members are spreading amongst their guests.

Hunting itself was done in walk & stalk – especially for Lyas Oryx we had to walk quite a bit and be patient – but it was worth it at the end! Beautifull hunting grounds, very good equipment (Blaser, Leica, Zeiss, Steyr, Mauser etc. – only to name a few) and caring & well experienced guiding from Anja, Philip and the rest of the team.

Next time we are coming with the hole family and stay longer 🙂
